In the lates 70ies/early 80ies, punk mutated into something else in West Berlin - the most audible musical remnant of this time is surely Einstürzende Neubauten, but other groups/bands/artists such as Die Tödliche Doris, Sprung aus den Wolken, P1/E, Frieder Butzmann, Malaria!, Valie Export and MDK were equally influential and creative during this time.
