Creating an ISO image from a CD in OS X

Check the descriptor of your CD drive using Disk utility. Mine’s disk4.

diskutil unmount /dev/disk4
dd if=/dev/disk4s0 of=./image.iso
diskutil eject /dev/disk4

Presto!
